It’s D-Day, the Champions League final. A match that is our focus of the day as we look at the shirts, the compositions and the players’ cleats.
It’s hard to think of a better match for a Champions League final! This Saturday 28 May, at the Stade de France, Liverpool will face Real Madrid. It’s the first time in history that a team has won six times and won thirteen times. We’ll take a look at the likely line-up for Liverpool-Real Madrid before kick-off and take a look at the players’ studs.

Before analysing the place of the markings on the players’ feet, let’s take a look at the shirts of both teams. Both Liverpool and Real Madrid will be using their home shirts from the 21-22 season for this match. While they have both unveiled their new 2022-2023 shirts, it is with the current season’s jersey that they wish to end the adventure.

Liverpool: players’ boots
After talking about the shirts, let’s talk about the studs. For Liverpool, it will be classic. In the organisation of the game of course, but also in the visibility of the equipment manufacturers. In addition to seeing the adidas-Nike duo, Under Armour and New Balance will continue to be the ones to get some visibility during this match.

For the Reds, Nike will be the most used brand if the likely line-up for the Champions League final is to be believed. Whether in goal with Alisson, in defence with Van Dijk or in midfield with Henderson, the Tiempo Legend will be the most visible pair from the brand, ahead of the Phantom GT worn by the Konate-Robertson duo. For all the players, however, the white colour of the latest Progress Pack will be used.

For adidas, four players will be wearing the three stripes. Mo Salah and Luis Diaz will be wearing the X Speedflow.1 in the white/blue colour of the Diamond Edge pack, while Fabinho is expected to use the Predator Edge.1 in its high version. A small revolution since the former Monaco player was playing with the Predator Freak until recently. Finally, Thiago should continue not to follow the rules and will undoubtedly use the old Copa 20.1 which dates from 2020…

Finally, apart from standing out with his number 66, Trent-Alexander Arnold will play with his Under Armour pair while Sadio Mané will continue to wear the New Balance Furon v6+.

Real Madrid: The players’ boots
While there will be four outfitters at Liverpool, only two will share the cake at Real Madrid. Indeed, the starting line-up should only feature Nike and adidas.

With six players in the starting line-up for the Champions League final, Nike will be the most visible brand at Real Madrid. The Phantom GT will be worn by Carvajal, Casemiro and Rodrygo. The Tiempo Legend will be worn by Courtois in goal while the Mercurial Vapor will be used by Modric and Vinicius Jr. Thanks to its six ambassadors, the brand with the comma will be able to count on the presence of its three current silos. A great performance.

At adidas, we have done everything possible before the final. In addition to being the White House’s equipment supplier, the German brand unveiled a few days ago the little attentions it has reserved for its players and therefore the cleats they will wear for the final. Like Salah in Liverpool, Karim Benzema will wear the X Speedflow.1. But the Frenchman will still use the “UCL” colour and its mix of green and purple. Behind him, the eternal Toni Kroos will not change his habits for such a match and it is still the adiPure 11 Pro that will be on the feet of the German midfielder. Finally, three players in the defence will be using the Predator Edge range. Militao will be wearing the high version without laces and Alaba and Mendy will be wearing the low version with laces.
